Mudge Island
September 19th, 2016I would describe Mudge Island as my "little piece of Heaven". It is peaceful and quiet, usually sunny and surrounded by beauty and wildlife.
Captain George Richards of the H.M.S. Plumper named this lovely little island after his lieutenant, William Fitzwilliam Mudge. Unfortunately, lieutenant Mudge drowned off the coast of New Zealand in 1863 while serving on the HMS Orpheus. Captain Richard ...
